Tired of plain weave?
Learn a variety of more interesting weaving techniques for the rigid heddle loom. Bring your loom warped and ready to weave and we’ll cover some pick up weaving patterns, lace techniques, how to throw in some tapestry techniques, and do some freeform weaving. You’ll leave class with a sampler of techniques on your loom.
Pre-Class Preparation: Your loom must already be warped and ready to go: 7.5 to 10 dpi heddle and worsted or lighter weight yarns, at least a 2yd warp. Yarn to weave with – extra bits and pieces will be provided by the instructor but textured yarn and fun strips of fabric, hand spun yarns, etc. are good to bring as well as contrast yarn to weave patterns with. Extra shuttles and a pick up stick or a shuttle longer that the width of your weaving.
